The Fire opals are an amorphous shape of silica being a part of the group of the quartz. The Fire opal is the national precious stone of Mexico. These stones are fragile and whereas they can be used on pendants and earrings, we do not recommend the fire opals on rings because of their insufficient hardness. The fire opals are not treated.
Color: yellow in orange, brownish, shady and milky red. Origin: Mexico, some similar stones are found in Brazil and in the USA.
